Here is a look at the last couple weeks.
Everyday Life: Weeks 19 and 20
A small bouquet of flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother’s Day.
I also cooked for her, her favorite food: fried shrimp.
I also made a German cheesecake, thanks to the recipe from a friend (her grandmother’s, straight from Frankfurt, Germany).
Little Wrigby.
A little Oregon adventuring with the husband.
And Percy.
I’m not really bragging, so much as stating a fact: I like my homemade veggie burrito better than anywhere in town. I also experimented with homemade strawberry horchata (which was an excellent decision).
I planted these three years ago. A good decision!
Little veggie burger sliders one night (with balsamic caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, dill pickles, fresh tomato, vegenaise and mustard).
Miss JJ.
“Wet burritos” one night. (Burritos twice in one week = a good week.)
My husband played some music one night…
Percy Jeaners.
Recipe experimenting…
Which included these vegetarian manapua, which came out deliciously well.
Mother’s Day flowers.
Just your typical Ashland neighbor…
His and hers (the one with more veggies — my husband ate a total of three broccoli on his plate).
My first hibiscus of the season popped open this week.
Maybe I made myself five egg and soyrizo tacos for dinner at 10PM one night?
Burrito bowls another night…
Little baby boys.
Hope you’ve had a lovely couple weeks!
Mother’s Day was wonderful. Thank you, Julie, Craig and boys….food fantastic!
